'Simplification and The Power of Language' (written 2005), is to be taken as a reaction and exploration into the current climate of which all who live in the ‘free world’ adhere to. ‘Simplification and The Power of Language' aim is to bring light on the paradoxes and contradictions that exist in the use of simplification juxtaposed with its presence in the world and all that then goes on around it, conscious or not.

To reveal the art of simplification we must first understand the ideas and theories that embody its existence by way of grasping the counter [to it]. To think outside the box as it were, and take what would be called ‘dark matter’ in scientific terms; to realise the present now of which simplification is seen, heard but not initially understood, and understood to be a powerful mobilization of action at the hands of the authors of simplification.

The definition of simplification is to be explored and constructed throughout this investigation. I shall explore why simplification exists and how it can be, and is, used in today’s ideals that float around the words of politicians and the fabric of modern life.

In context to my developing field of contemporary art I wish to abstain from exploring contemporary art issues in form, rather I am to base my contemporary art objectives in theories without their direct mention. To give a rounded and serious objective to myself. With the aim to draw out my own idea that contemporary art, especial in Briton and the west, is such; that in the light of today’s social climate constitutes an orderly framework in an otherwise chaotic spectrum of independent thought. Where social and political contexts dictate the situ in which contemporary art critically evolves.
